Women’s Ashes: SA’s Schutt selected

South Australian Scorpion’s fast bowler, Megan Schutt has been named in Australia’s 15-player squad for the upcoming Women’s Ashes Series in England, as well as the 2013/14 Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars contracted players list.
On a landmark day for women’s cricket in Australia, Cricket Australia (CA) today also announced a restructuring of the contracting system for women’s international and state cricket with a move from a three-tier payment retainer system to a squad ranking system.

SACA: Three new country coaches appointed

Three new dedicated cricket coaches will this month begin work across regional South Australia in a program aimed to boost grass-roots cricket and develop junior talent.

The South Australian Cricket Association has announced the three new Country Cricket Development Officers (CCDO), covering South Central, Yorke Peninsula/Mid North and Eyre Peninsula/Upper North.
