Country Twenty20 Expansion on Horizon

The opportunity to expand the Country Living Homes Country Twenty20 Champions Cup (CLHCT20) into a true “FA Cup style” competition where any country cricket club is able to enter their team is an option that will be explored in the future.

The CLHCT20, run by the South Australian Cricket Association, has now been running for two seasons, having expanded from eight teams in 2010/11 to 25 teams in 2011/12. The competition was originally based on rewarding the premier team from all country associations with entry into the competition, however as the profile of the competition has grown the opportunity to expand the concept has presented itself.
